Key Holding
If you’re struggling for keyholders or you don’t want to impose on staff, friends or neighbours.
We can be your keyholder for confirmed alarm activations..
Some of the advantages of Intruder Alarm Systems being keyholders
Do you or your key staff want the risk losing their license due to drink driving particularly relevant during New Year’s Eve or Christmas Day?
In the event of a burglary, our service provides a prompt response to your premises by our Key Holders. This eliminates the potential risk to you or your staff and the consequent liability.
Under the terms of many policies, insurance may be void during a period when the alarm system is not functioning. This can be avoided by our ability to get the alarm system reset and working again ASAP.
Staff may be absent from work if they have been called out during the previous night. There is also no cost involved in remunerating staff, providing transport (if they have had a drink) and no possibility of breaching Health and Safety regulations.
How it works
When we are informed of a confirmed activation by the Alarm Receiving Centre, our Key Holder attends your premises. Then investigates the cause of the activation.
We will only contact you or your nominated emergency contact, if we consider the situation to be of a serious nature.
If required, we can arrange for the attendance of a Boarding Up company or other repair companies to ensure that your premises are left fully secure.
We then E-mail a report to you the next day.
A confirmed intruder activation – is one which results from the activation of two or more independent detectors. These are configured so that more than one activation means there is a high probability that a genuine intrusion or attempted intrusion has occurred. The second activation must occur within 30 minutes of the first event, known as the confirmation time. Activation of a single detector will generate an unconfirmed alarm and at this stage the sounders will activate. If a second activation does not occur within 30 minutes, the system will reinstate itself.
